Venice Airport Arrivals (VCE)

The main Arrivals area of Marco Polo Airport is on the terminal’s ground floor. The airport is served by a variety of domestic and international airlines that fly from many destinations.

Passengers that have arrived from a non-Schengen country will need to go through passport control. This is operated by the Italian frontier police.

Re-claim your baggage before leaving the Arrivals area. Always check the baggage labels to ensure that it is yours. Baggage trolleys are available and located near to the re-claim area. A one euro coin is required to release one of the trolleys from the bay. The euro coin is refunded, once you have returned the trolley to one of the bays in the terminal, near the harbour (pier), or near the bus stops.

Porters and baggage transportation is managed by Trasbagagli. They also manage the left luggage depot in the Arrivals area. The depot is open every day from 05:30 to 21:00.

Lost/damaged Baggage

The baggage handling companies (Avia Partner, Eagles Services and Sav) have Lost and Found offices in the Arrivals area. The company responsible for your flight’s baggage will be displayed next to the flight number.

Lost baggage should initially be reported to the appropriate baggage handling company’s Lost and Found office. You will be required to complete a claim form that includes the characteristics/descriptions of the lost baggage. If your baggage is not found after a short period, you may contact your airline and organize a refund for the cost of essential items that you need. Lost baggage (when found) can be personally collected or delivered to your specified address by courier.

The Lost and Found Offices also accept claims for damaged luggage. They will provide you with the relevant contact address for the settlement of the damages incurred.

Services for Disabled Travellers at Venice Marco Polo Airport

Marco Polo Airport provides assistance for disabled/reduced mobility arriving and departing passengers. The company that handles this special assistance is Save S.p.a. PRM. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform the airline of their specific needs at the time of reservation, or at least 48 hours prior to the time of the required service. Arriving passengers will then receive help from qualified airport staff, from the plane, through passport control and the baggage re-claim procedures. They will also be accompanied to the person waiting for them, or to their chosen means of transportation at the airport.

Persons waiting for arriving passengers can make any enquiries at the flight arrivals information office, located outside the arrivals area.

Transportation at Marco Polo Airport includes ATVO and Actv buses, that travel to Piazzale Roma and the Mestre Railway Station, land and water taxis, and the Alilaguna water buses. Tickets for the buses and boats can be purchased at the ticket offices in the Arrivals area. Car hire companies are also located in the Arrivals area.
