Bari Airport Parking

Bari International Airport consists of a single terminal building and plenty of parking spaces. The terminal building was completely renovated in 2007, and these renovations included the building of a new multi-story car park. The terminal now covers an area of more than 30,000 square meters, and has a variety of shops, restaurants and other facilities.

This airport, also known as Bari Palese Airport, has a total of 2,300 parking spaces. These spaces are divided into a few different areas, including short-term parking areas and long-term parking areas.

Short-term parking areas are labeled as P14 and P4, and they can be found directly in front of the terminal building. Behind these areas is the parking garage, named PM.

Long-term parking includes the areas of P2 and P3. There is also the area of P15, which is quite far from the terminal building, but the parking here is for free. There is only space for 200 vehicles in the P15 area.

Charges for parking vary between the different areas, but in general, parking in the PM garage costs €6.00 for the first six hours, or €14.50 for each full day of parking. The long-term parking areas cost €9.30 per day for the first three days of parking.

Disabled passengers are well looked after at Bari Airport. Passengers who require special assistance should inform their airline of their needs when they book their flight. The airline staff will then inform Bari Airport of the passenger’s specific requirements. This is the case at most Italian Airports. Disabled passengers can be greeted at the airport, and then assisted with the processes of baggage check-in and finding the correct boarding area. The reduced mobility passenger is then collected at the gate by a special shuttle bus (ambulift) which will help the passenger onto the aircraft. Staff at the airport will stay with the passenger until he or she has safely boarded the plane. In terms of parking, there are 45 suitable parking spaces for disabled drivers. These are specially marked and reserved areas located nearby the airport terminal building.

Passengers or visitors of Bari Airport who do not wish to find parking can arrive at the airport via other transportation options. Taxis by the companies of Radiotaxi, Taxi Apulia and EuroTaxi make frequent journeys to the airport. The taxi drivers are also familiar with the airport’s layout, and will therefore know the best place to drop you off. Buses are also a popular means of transport to the airport. Bari Airport is serviced by the AMTAB Buses and the Tempesta Buses. These buses travel from the Bari Centrale Railway Station to the airport at regular intervals. The AMTAB Buses are cheaper than the Tempesta Buses, but they make more stops, and therefore take a bit longer to reach the airport. Pugliairbuses connect Bari Airport to the other Puglia airports of Foggia, Taranto and Brindisi, as well as to other main Puglia Cities. This bus operates during the summer months, and is a free service to all individuals with an airline ticket or a firm reservation. There is no railway station at Bari Airport. Passengers arriving in Bari by train must catch the bus to the airport.

Besides excellent parking facilities, Bari Airport offers a range of interesting shops and enticing restaurants. There are adequate banking services provided by the Banca Antonveneta and other ATMs, while business facilities are available in the SEAP Lounge in the Departures Hall. Counters for lost and found items and baggage are located in the Arrivals Hall. All other enquiries can be made at the Information Desk in the Departures area, or alternatively, passengers can use the self-service touch screen computer displays (Totem Web Points) to provide them with more information on a variety of topics related to the airport and the Apulia region.
