Auto Europa Car Rental at Forli Airport
Forli Airport is found in northern Italy, in the Emilia-Romagna region of the country. In 2011 the airport handled approximately 346,000 passengers, but it has seen higher numbers in previous years. It is nonetheless a small Italian airport, providing a gateway for persons travelling for business and leisure purposes. The airport is known by it’s code of FRL, or by the name of Luigi Ridolfi, in honour of a famous Italian aviator. Arriving passengers are offered bus and taxi services for ground transport options, but a rented car from Auto Europa Forli Airport is perhaps a more convenient way to travel. Auto Europa has a reliable and proven track record of providing quality car rental/car hire services.
Forli Airport has a terminal building measuring just over 6,000 square meters in size, which handles all arrival and departure flights from the two main airline companies which serve the airport. They are Wizz Air and Belle Air, and flights arrive from Budapest, Katowice, Sofia, Tirana and Warsaw, amongst a few other locations. The arrivals hall is on the ground floor of the terminal building, and the Forli Airport car hire companies are also found in this area. They are generally open six or seven days a week, and during most hours of the day and early evening. Vehicles can be hired directly from Auto Europa, or in advance, from one of the online websites which support Auto Europa car hire reservations. An earlier booking is often preferable, as cheaper rental rates can be the result.
Passengers have many good reasons to book a hire car from Auto Europa. Some of these reasons include the fact that Auto Europa has been in existence since 1954, with now over sixty years of experience in the car rental industry, and have always provided service of the best quality at their thousands of rental locations around the world. Their customers will also enjoy a ‘best price guarantee’, an easy four-step online booking process and twenty-four hour service. Money is saved with no credit card fees, and reservations may be cancelled without penalties providing that a three day notice period is allowed. Although online is most convenient, Auto Europa also provides a toll free number for bookings and enquiries.
The Forli Airport car rental companies all have different terms and conditions for their vehicles, but most are similar. From Auto Europa, it may be possible for anyone just eighteen years of age or older to rent a car, but drivers younger than the age of 25 will be liable for higher car rental fees, due to young drivers insurance which is a mandatory requirement. Younger drivers may also not have access to vehicles in certain categories. Auto Europa will accept most licenses that are issued in the European Union, however, licenses that are printed in a non-Roman alphabet may need to be accompanied by an International Driving Permit. Foreign renters may also require an IDP. A major credit card is the third requirement for car hire, and the cards generally accepted are American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard, Mastercard or Visa.
The Fiat Panda and Fiat 500 are two of Auto Europa’s smallest vehicles, available from the Mini category, and are ideal choices for single drivers or couples. They are also ideal for city driving, as they lack room for luggage. Economy vehicles are very popular choices, since that they usually come with low rental rates, are considered to be light on fuel and are generally easy to drive if you known how to operate a manual transmission. They are similar to the Renault Clio, Fiat Grande Punto and the Peugeot 207 Hatchback. The Volkswagen Golf and Opel Astra Wagon are examples of vehicles in the Compact category, while in the Midsize, Standard and Fullsize categories larger vehicles can be hired. Families often choose a Midsize vehicle such as the Renault Laguna Wagon, Fiat Croma, Citroen C4 Picasso or Renault Scenic, while larger groups of travellers will need something similar to the Renault Espace Minivan or the Fiat Ducato, which is a van able to accommodate up to nine passengers.
Person’s hiring a vehicle should keep in mind that the price quoted may not include optional or mandatory insurance options (collision damage waiver and theft protection), and will not include any additional items of equipment required, for example, child seats or satellite navigation systems. When driving in Italy, all persons in a vehicle must be wearing seatbelts, and children four years of age and younger should have their own car seat. Children younger than twelve years of age should not travel in the front of the vehicle. Rentals could also be more expensive if the vehicle is going to be returned to a location that is different to the pick-up location. This service is referred to as an Auto Europa one way hire, and may incur additional charges, depending on the length of the rental and the return location. From Forli Airport, one way hires may be driven to all parts of Italy, and may even be allowed to leave the country, in which case it is referred to as a cross-border rental.
Free of charge, however, are Auto Europa hand controls for disabled drivers. Forli Airport is well equipped to welcome persons with reduced mobility challenges, and the car hire companies offer certain services for their comfort as well. Hand controls are a device which operate the main functions of an automatic vehicle, i.e. the brake and accelerator pedals, but the driver will need to still manage the blinkers, lights, windshield wipers etc. Although free of charge from Forli Airport, hand controls will require an advanced reservation, at least forty-eight hours prior to your arrival.
Auto Europa Forli Airport will be happy to provide further assistance.
