Lamezia Terme Airport Arrivals (SUF)
Lamezia-Terme Airport is situated approximately 3km from the city of Lamezia Terme. Other areas nearby include Tropea, Catanzaro, Soverato, Pizzo and Vibo Valentia.
The airport is served by a variety of low-cost airlines. Air Berlin serves the majority of destinations. Other airlines include Alitalia, Ryanair, Germanwings, easyJet, Volare Airlines, Club Air, Transavia and Air One.
In July 2009, Ryanair will begin flights from Dusseldorf to Lamezia-Terme Airport. This service will be provided twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. In October 2009, Easyjet plans to double their flights from Milan Malpensa Airport to Lamezia-Terme Airport, enabling passengers to fly and return on the same day.
All passengers requiring special assistance at the airport should inform the airline of their needs. This should be done prior to arriving at the airport, or preferably, at the time of flight reservation. Airport employees will help the disabled person or passenger with reduced mobility with control documents and baggage claim. The passenger will be accompanied until he/she has met up with the person waiting in the arrivals area, or to the chosen means of transportation at the airport.
Lamezia-Terme Airport has elevators and access ramps, disabled toilet facilities and dedicated disabled parking spaces. Tactile maps and elevator buttons in Braille assist visually impaired passengers.
The Business Center at the airport has four meeting rooms and workstations equipped with computer systems and internet access. There is also a fax, printer and copier. The meeting rooms vary in capacity. The larger two seat 48 people and 16 people, and are equipped with an overhead projector, video, installation and registration microphone. The smaller room seats 6 people and has a standard telephone line. The fourth room is for only 3 people, and has personal computers and telephone lines.
Lamezia-Terme Airport has an a la carte restaurant which overlooks the runway, and some shopping opportunities. Some of the shops include AMG Jewelry, Siryus, Viola Domenico, Assiconsult and P.P. La Rosa. These shops sell everything from souvenirs and perfumes to children’s clothing. Other facilities at the airport include the Parafarmacia, Tourist Information Office, VIP lounge, First Aid, a hairdresser and helicopter services by Eliblu.
Arriving passengers can find their way to the nearby cities by bus or taxi. There are a variety of bus services that run regularly from the airport. The taxi stand can be found outside the airport terminal building. Lamezia-Terme Airport has no train station, but the nearest one is only 2km away.
