Treviso Airport is located nearby to the popular city of Venice, and is only 3km, or 1.8 miles from Treviso. It is an Italian airport handling approximately two million passengers per annum, and is well positioned to serve as an alternative airport to the Venice Marco Polo Airport. It is recognised by it’s official airport code of TSF, and can also be referred to as the Treviso Venice Airport, as the Treviso-Sant’Angelo Airport or even as the Canova Airport. Treviso Airport departures are offered by several well known airline companies, and the departure facilities of the airport are well structured for the convenience of passengers.

Departing passengers can reach Treviso Airport by bus, taxi or private motor vehicle, as parking facilities are provided outside of the terminal building. From Treviso, the bus company of ACTT provides transport services to the airport from the Treviso Centrale Railway Station, and the journey takes approximately fifteen to twenty minutes. It is bus line Number 6, and is a local urban bus service. In general, the bus times correspond to the Treviso Airport departure flights. Passengers will also find bus services from Venice available. They leave from the Venice Mestre Train Station, and take about half an hour to reach the airport. This bus service is offered by the company ATVO. From Padova (Padua), a private coach service provides transport to Treviso Airport, and a reservation will be required for their services. There is no train station at the airport, but taxis are another way to conveniently reach a departure flight.

The road network surrounding Treviso Airport is convenient, and motorists will easily reach the airport in a private car. From Treviso, the Via Noalese is used for direct access, and is also the main airport road. From Venice, the A27 or the SS13 can be used, and from areas west or east of the airport, the SR53 provides access. The SS13 and A27 are roads leading from the north as well. Airport parking is provided in four areas, two of which are directly in front of the terminal building. The closest parking lot is used for short-term parking, and the other three are used for medium to long-stay parking periods. The furthest parking lot is approximately two hundred metres from the terminal. In each parking area, the first ten minutes of parking is free, and there are reserved spaces for disabled drivers.

The main airline companies offering departure flights from Treviso Airport include Ryanair, Germanwings, Belle Air, Transavia, Wizz Air, Air Arabia Maroc and Wizz Air Ukraine. Belle Air also operates the company Belle Air Europe, and Neos is an airline carrier with charter flights from the airport. Ryanair, a very popular low-cost airline carrier who has greatly contributed to the number of passengers at many of the smaller Italian airports, holds the majority of destinations at Treviso Airport, offering flights to Spain (Alicante, Barcelona, Girona, Malaga and Lanzarote), Brussels and the United Kingdom (London-Stansted and Leeds/Bradford), as well as to local destinations, such as Palermo, Brindisi, Cagliari, Trapani and Alghero. Destinations served from the other airline carriers include Pristina, Tirana, Casablanca, Cologne/Bonn, Hanover, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Prague and Bucharest. Charter flights head for the Spanish island of Ibiza.

Treviso Airport has a new terminal building that is adequate in size for the number of passengers which pass through it on a yearly basis, which is currently just over two million. The new building is named in honour of Antonio Canova, a famous Italian artist. The airport has one runway of 2,420 metres in length, and which handles approximately 20,000 aircraft movements per annum. It is also long enough to accommodate medium to larger sized aircraft. The Treviso Airport departure area is found on the first floor of the terminal building, and consists of the check-in area and boarding lounges. The airport’s facilities also include a few bars/restaurants and cafés, a duty-free store, a ticket sales office and various tour groups. On the ground floor, which is where the arrival halls are found, there are the counters of the available car hire companies, cash machines and a foreign currency exchange service.

Treviso Airport welcomes passengers with reduced mobility challenges, as there are elevators and pavement ramps which ensure access to all facilities of the airport, and there are suitable toilets available. Wheelchairs can be borrowed from the information desk, and further assistance can be arranged with the concerned airline company in advance of your departure. Parents of young children will find their needs met as well, as there are baby changing facilities. On an aircraft, babies aged 0 to 2 will be required to sit on the lap of a parent/guardian, and therefore, often receives a cheaper airline ticket. Babies also receive a special baggage allowance. From the age of two, and up until the age of twelve, the child will have a right to his/her own seat at a reduced rate, and the same baggage allowance as an adult. Children from four years of age may travel as unaccompanied minors. Before departure, always confirm all details regarding your specific travelling circumstances.

Any passengers with special needs should also arrive earlier.
